Measuring the pyroelectric coefficient

For many applications, the spatial distribution of the pyroelectric coefficient is of interest. One way to determine the depth profile is the thermal wave or Laser Intensity Modulation Method (LIMM). Here, the opaque surface of the sample is heated with an intensity modulated laser beam.
