IC 2177 (The Seagull Nebula)

|
IC 2177 is the one of the "wing" parts of the Seagull Nebula, an emission nebula at the border of Canis Major and Monoceros. Two prominent features are the Seagull's head (vdB 93) and the bright Ced 90 nebula near the bottom of the image. The image is a mosaic assembled from 3 panels using a technique developed for the Milky Way panorama. |
